Open Carry?

What opinion does gunnit have on open carry? Me, I open carry 75% of the time. It's more comfortable and allows for carry of larger handguns. I get weird looks sometimes, but I've never had any issues. Never any problems with cops either.

I don't really agree with the element of surprise thing. When you are having to defend your life, the bad guy has the element of surprise on you. I'd think an open firearm would be a pretty big deterrent to any bad guy.
