Long time reader, first time poster, I SIMPLY HAD TO EXPRESS MY FRUSTRATION: In light of the recent Rally to Restore Sanity and the 2010 elections....

...Why dont we have our own Fox News? Not to spread lies, fear, or to manipulate, but to tell the truth, fact check others, and to spread the Liberal/Progressive message?

Why dont we have our own huge rallies, not to promote compromise, but to stand up FIRMLY AND PROUDLY for what we believe in?

Why dont we shout down those who attempt to shout us down at town hall meetings?

Why dont we stick by our representatives through thick and through thin, like the right does?

We are to blame, and I am to blame, for our losses recently, but why do we lack the discipline, organization, and energy of the right?

As much as I respect Jon Stewart (I'm a huge fan), I completely disagree with his message in that he is trying to compromise with those who refuse to compromise, he is trying to calm down those who refuse to calm down, he is trying to be sensible and rational with a group who refuses to be either.

The way it appears to me, we are always willing to give up some ground. We try to be reasonable for the most part, we like to compromise, we like to hear everyone out and respect everyones opinions and THESE ARE ALL GOOD THINGS, but sometimes, it just does not work.

Sorry for the rant. I'd like to hear other peoples opinions. Thanks.

Edit: I've been reading recently on Reddit something about Conservatives voting such posts down? Please dont vote this down simply because you disagree with what I'm saying, I'm trying to have an open dialogue with people who are interested. It seems as if people are trying to bury this before anyone gets a chance to discuss it...I could be wrong, I'm new here.
