Why does my Xbox have trouble connecting through my FiOS router?

Hey everyone, This is a bit of a strange situation. I've had my xbox since my sophomore year of college and had it replaced once, and every router I've ever hooked it up to works fine with it. Up until I got my FiOS router in my new apartment. I have it set to find an IP address automatically, like I've always had, and it just keeps having trouble. I've seen lots of links with it having trouble with wireless but I've kept it wired because I'm too cheap to buy a wireless adapter. My PS3, computers, girlfriend's computer and phone all access the wireless fine, the PS3 and computers even play games online with no problem, it's only the xbox. Thoughts?
