liquid story binder: I made my nanowrimo outline in a listing rather than a planner, is that really terrible and I should redo it?

I'm having trouble finding anything that lays out the differences between planner, listing, and outline. (On my own I figured out that the difference between layout and workspace is that the workspace saves the exact kind of file and then reopens those files when you select it, layout merely rearranges your current windows). edit: it would have been nice to get a reply from anyone that has actually used the program <.<
