California, I'm disappointed, but not for the reasons you think
I'm disappointed because I'm pretty sure prop 19 didn't pass because a lot of people who thought it should pass or who smoke/grow weed voted no or didn't vote. Do you know what that means? That means that the open minded youth of today are lazy, selfish, ignorant or all three. Before, the open minded youth (who usually smoked pot) were a force for change, for sending messages. Now it seems that they're too lazy or too selfish to think about the bigger picture. I say selfish because the big reasons to vote yes were Mexican Drug Cartel Crime and the message it would send. By voting no you are just reinforcing that prohibition is working, that the majority wants it. By voting no you show your ignorance as well, thinking that this law would make things worse for you and that its not the right law, well its easier to change a law than to pass a law.
TL;DR Its sad that open minded youth are no longer a positive force for change and can no longer send a message.
