All of the planets in my game don't have textures...

I'm new to eve online, and I have the 21 day buddy invite thing. Now I'm playing and learning at a slow and steady speed, but one thing I have noticed... None of the planets have textures on them! They are just large black masses with some colored reflections of the stars on them. Is this unique to the rookie systems? Or do I need to update something to get them to work?
