Dear Ents, even though Prop 19 failed, be proud of what you did accomplish.
You guys in California did an amazing thing for the Trees community everywhere in the US. Even though the prop didn't pass, you got your foot in the door, and that's what is important. You guys showed that there is a very large group of Marijuana supporters, and that maybe there is a chance to even lessen the laws regarding marijuana possession. You guys were able to come up with arguments that put holes in the prohibition laws that already exist, which is something that we all know gets under the government's skin (even better, the supposed least productive pot-head members of society came up with these arguments, which shows that you are, in fact, very productive, and intelligent. In your face, judgmental government law makers!
The best thing to do now is to 1) relax, take a deep breath (or a good toke) and think of what you did accomplish; 2) write a better prop (I haven't actually read it, but I've read about it and it seemed like it could be written better, but I'm not saying I'm an expert by any means); 3) educate everyone who voted "no" how legalizing and allowing government to distribute marijuana would benefit the economy, bring down drug cartels (to an extent), etc...; 4) get more youngsters to vote and finally 5) DO NOT GIVE UP!
You guys have done a lot for us fellow Ents (myself a Pennsylvania Ent), even if it doesn't feel like it right now. I thank you all for doing what you could, and I know some good will come out of this once the sting wears off.
A story of victory for you guys to lift your spirits; my own mother (who is anti-everything regarding drugs) supported Prop 19 because she knows that it would've benefited our country more than hurt it. Granted she lives in PA and couldn't vote for it, it was a huge deal for her to say to me, "I hope Prop 19 passes."
So don't hang your heads in defeat, Ents. Get back on that magical Mary-Jane campaign horse and try try again!
Much love and Trees from me to you!
P.S. sorry for grammar mistakes, I'm 20 years old and still have issues using a damn semicolon.
