Easier method to return to comments from linked submissions

As an avid redditor, I often open a ton of links at once then go and read through the content. I will realize afterwards that I also want to go to the comments sections of the links and add something, or just see what others are saying. However, this requires going back to reddit and navigating back a couple pages to find the story, if it's not in the recently viewed links.

Is there perhaps a way to make it so that when opening links in new tabs all you have to do is press the "Go back" arrow to go to the reddit comments section. Some sort of redirect that doesn't load the comments and immediately sends you to the link but which allows you to go back to the comments in the same window? Or if this isn't feasible perhaps just a way to expand the number of mostly recently viewed links?
