Permanently hide submissions

Would it be possible to make the "hide" links below submissions take permanent effect? If I hide submissions on my front page, click and read a submission, then use the back button, everything I hid comes back. I think it would be cool for me to have control over my own front page so I don't waste time looking at the same submissions more than I want to. I already sink tons of time into reddit. =]

If there's the problem of "what if I accidentally hid a submission? how do I get it back?", there could just be an additional tab at the top for those submissions you've hidden.
