So how long does it take before the GOP takes credit for the advances made these past 2 years

Looking at articles here on Reddit, the country has been repairing itself from the Bush debacle that was his 8 year tenure. Economy is improving, taxes have been cut for the majority of Americans, and most importantly jobs have increased under the Obama administration these last 6 months. How long does it take before the GOP claim that this is happening due to the shift in power in Congress... 5 months, 6 months... Does this scare anyone else?
