IWTL how to play my ashinko (african drum/hippie drum)

So I made one of these fools at Bonnaroo this past June, and while I've thumped on it a few times, nothing sounds near as good as every hippie I walked past there, or other people beating on them while we're camping. The rhythm post reminded me of this, but I still feel it's different enough to warrant it's own post. Thanks.
