My very first Android app -- Marco, a lost phone helper.
Dear r/Android,
So I just uploaded my first app. I thought I'd share... There are two versions: a free one and a paid (CAD$1.49) one with more features.
It's called Marco (as in "Macro Polo", not the dude, but the game -- the best name I could come up with.) It's a small app that lets you get information about your lost or misplaced phone via SMS. You setup a list of numbers you trust and you set a secret message. If your phone receives the secret message from any of the numbers on that list, your phone will begin to inform that phone, via SMS, various things about the phone's state. Right now the information you can get is limited to the GPS location (or approximate network location if GPS is unavailable), battery level, and information about wireless access points nearby (right now it only displays the top 5.) The access point information includes SSID, BSSID, strength and frequency. Your phone will continue to update these pieces of information and send responses at an interval (that you can set) or only send a single message. If the phone is turned off in the middle of this, the phone will continue where it left off when the phone is turned on again.
Another feature my app supports is detecting SIM card change. You have to specify a "primary contact" on your list that will receive these types of notifications.
Enjoy, reddit!
Also, if anyone would like to translate or help with testing, feel free to send me a message.

EDIT:
Free version "Marc0" is available (GPS only, no SIM change notifications)
