how to get to day2 in college?

girl is my lab partner. lots of kinoing and some IOIs. even face kissed her (no one in college really does this). But whenever I ask her (phone call, or in person) to get food or to study with me, I get rejected. The excuses seem like logistical reasons, but she could also be playing hard to get. She just got out of a LTR, but thats irrelevant. How do I go about getting the hangout? or should I just give up completely?
