Question for redditors using Android on the HD2. Repost from reddit.com

It's time for a new phone, and I was going to get the G2. Then last night, I saw a bunch of stuff about the HD2 over on XDA. I'd really much rather have a 4.3" screen with 3G than the new top of the line small screen.

I was wondering, does the HD2 with a Cyanogen rom function as well as, say, the Nexus with the same rom? No noticeable lags/freezes, or any glaring issues that would stop it from functioning as a daily user?

Also, after the first boot, which I understand takes 10 or more minutes, do I have to then boot into WM and run Haret after every boot, or is there a way to boot directly into Android?

And what about status changes/apps/etc? Are they actually saved to the phone memory, or do I need to have partitions on my uSD card for them?

Any other information you think I should consider before taking this leap? Any helpful tips? Preferred roms for both WM/Android that seem to work best? (I want a CM rom, preferably vanilla without crazy themes already applied so I can customize it to my liking on the android side, and just the most basic, bare WM rom possible, especially if I have to boot into it before Android every time I start my phone.)

Finally, how is moving the cursor without a trackpad? I found on WM when I previously had the HD2 it was nearly impossible to get the cursor where I needed it if I wanted to add a single letter to a word or something similar.
