Anyone mind reading over my cover letter?

I'm currently working as a substitute teacher and would like to move on sooner rather than later. There is a job opening that would give me a great opportunity to get my foot in the door. Everything I had tried to write sounded so generic and eventually, I just started writing. Do I need more information? Do I need to be specific in certain areas? Any help you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

PS - If anyone else would like help reading over their cover letters/resumes I'm more than willing to help out.

===============================================

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply to the Copywriter/Editor position as advertised on the .... website.

After reviewing the job description, I was excited to have found such an interesting opportunity. Adapting to the needs of others and finding a way to quickly act in a changing environment are attributes that not many posses. My experiences as a recent college graduate can bring a unique viewpoint to the problems your clients face. Working in retail has given me the customer driven attitude that is needed in such an environment. While my past experiences working on a student newspaper and as an English major give me the skills that I need to be an asset to your services.

I have attached my resume for review and hope to hear back from you at your earliest convenience.

Regards,
