PC104 fan cards, does anybody use these?

We just paid $240 for one of these fuckers that was probably built for $20. It's just a couple of fans that steal power from the PC104 standard board to board connectors. I think I could sell these out of my basement for wayyy cheaper. Thoughts? I was also thinking I could add some switching regulators to give 3.3V and a 1-2v adjustable rail, think of it as the entire heat solution for your botched closed box rugged build.
