How Do I make myself attractive to Canadian or Swedish employers? (details inside)
I am a 3d technical artist with about 10 years of experience in the field (video game development and education). My fiance is a very talented web designer with about 5 years professional experience. Both she and I would like to become 'Landed immigrants' (or the equivalent) in either Sweden or Canada.
How do we sculpt our resume's or CV's so that a Canadian or Swedish employer would be more willing to sponsor our work visas? ( we are already learning French and Swedish - thanks rosetta stone)
Folks in Video Game development tend to find work via headhunters. are there Game developer headhunters that have an employer base in Canada and/or Sweden? Are there such a thing as Academic headhunters? Id love to teach 3d art and game development in either country.
Please, we will listen to any wisdom that expat redditors have to give us. Hell if we actually get a job becasue of your advice, well treat ya to a lifetime supply of Tim Hortons or salty licorice, depending.
