Does this drive anyone else nuts?
Has anyone else noticed the trend towards photographers using 'INSERT NAME HERE Photography' as their website title and business name? Perhaps I'm being a little more than pedantic, but the name 'John Smith Photography' doesn't make any sense to me. Shouldn't it be "John Smith's Photography"? At very least, it needs a comma or a hyphen or something. Also, I could understand if it were a business or company name, say (urgh) 'Snap Photography' - providing you've got staff I suppose.
I personally use 'Herp Derp: Photographer', as it's my name and title, and I don't have staff. It makes sense. My reputation is my name, and that's what I do.
I suppose it wouldn't bother me if it wasn't for every second photographer doing it.
Anywhoo, rant over. Discuss.
