Graduating this December with no student loans; would have to take out student loans for grad. school. Worth it?
I've been fortunate enough to get my undergraduate degree in computer science without having to take out student loans. However, I feel like my undergraduate career was mainly to get a piece of paper saying I'm employable. I didn't learn as much as I would like due to: a) being at a smaller school so some teachers weren't too great. b) I learned mostly everything our courses were supposed to teach in high school (I had an extremely good CS teacher).
I would love to really dig into cs and learn some great things (at a different school) but to do so would probably require me taking out student loans unless I can find scholarships or government programs such as GAANN.
My question for all of you in/out of grad school is: Were/Are you satisfied with what you learned? Would you consider taking out student loans? Do you find yourself working for a you love to work at because you chose to complete a masters degree?
