How do you Ents clean you piece

I have a water pipe I put it in a zip-lock bag and let it soak in isopropyl alcohol for about an hour, then I add sea-salt and shake it around in the bag off and on for about twenty minutes, I do this about once a week; It comes out pretty clean after that.

I was wondering what you guys thought, and if you do anything differently
