r/Art, i've got a question for you about digital ink
hello r/Art, i'm an art student who does digital art occasionally. i use a wacom tablet. i draw in a style that is very similar to that of your average webcomic. my method is scanning pencil drawings and tracing over the lines with a black brush in photoshop (again, using my tablet).
my problem is that i'm unhappy with the line quality in my drawings. i try to draw with quick strokes, so they don't look jagged, but they just look too thick and too soft. i would like my line quality to look more like penny arcade, or, better yet, awkward zombie's.
when it comes to getting those nice clean lines, what do you do? do you use a specific photoshop brush, technique, or something else?
thanks in advance for the help!
