What is the best quiet and cheap place for my boyfriend and I to travel to in January (in the USA)?

Looking for somewhere to travel to that is cheap, outdoors, and fun. I have a month off for classes and want somewhere nice to go with my boyfriend to relax before the next semester starts. I live in Boston, so maybe somewhere in the Northeast?
