How can I save the photo that is my desktop background to iPhoto?

I found a photo online and saved it as my background, but now I want to change my background and I don't want to lose the current photo and I can't find it online again. I'm new to macs, so I'm kind of clueless. I'm sure it's easy. Thanks reddit.
