Looking for some good recent multiplayer games to play with some friends.

My friends and I have had a lot of free time recently and are looking for some good multiplayer games to play. We used to play a lot of MMORPGs when they were being released like Darkfall, Warhammer, Age of Conan, et cetera. Recently we have been playing Starcraft 2 but there is a lack of replayable custom games and ladder matches become dull after a while. Now we are just playing Heroes of Newerth and we are quite bored.

Recently we played Borderlands and Splinter-Cell which was really fun due to its co-op but after the campaign there wasn't much to do. As of right now it seems like there are a lack of new and good multiplayer games. It seems like WoW is the only good modern MMORPG that is active at the moment but we'd rather not get involved with that. We may start playing Dead Rising 2 co-op but after that campaign we'll just be back to bored again.
