r/trees sets new readership record during Prop 19 election
As we stand collectively crushed by the results coming in from California, Oregon, South Dakota and also the close battle in Arizona for MMJ. I got to say that it was at least nice to come together as a community to learn the news together even if the news itself wasn't what we worked so hard to make reality.
The numbers show that actually it's not so bad. Almost half of California who voted for legalization said Yes. This in the face of bold lies and anti-cannabis propaganda. It seems also that some growers, black market dealers, and gang members had their own financial interests in seeing 19 fail.
An important thing to note is that we will be aiming for the fences for the 2011 initiative in Washington State (more news about this coming soon) and for the 2012 initiative in Colorado.
I would much rather Prop 19 have passed. If I could trade the "good" news about r/trees having a new readership record with the news of Prop 19 passing then that would be great.

Thanks for making Trees so great.
