Problem With YouTube On Firefox
meekamoo got it.
Have you tried completely uninstalling firefox? (ie the application + all of its metadata) Not 100% sure where it is located on windows, try <windows drive>\users<username>\appdata\roaming\mozilla.. delete that whole folder after uninstalling firefox. You will loose all of your extensions + themes + bookmarks so best to keep track of those if you want them.
Thank You
Hey guys, I got a problem with firefox and I don't know what to do.
When I go on a youtube channel I get this: "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player. "
Solution seems obvious right.. I check my flash, i update it just in case, and my javascript is on, then I updated my firefox, then I disabled all my addons and still the message is there.
Don't know what to do.
I am on Windows XP, using Firefox version 3.6.12, which is apparently up to date.
I did check it on chrome, and it worked fine, no message, so it must be firefox, but I don't know whats wrong with it. It was working fine a while ago. I have not downloaded or installed anything new, apart from the new flash, and the update from firefox which were from the official sites.
So I went to the next logical step, to check if javascript is working, seems fine, (i played some of the jQuery examples) and flash is also working fine.
But I still get that message when I go on channel pages, I am confused at this point.
I would not really care too much, but I click the uploaded videos on the channel page, to see videos, and that is not working.
About the Flash version:
Flash Player Version: WIN 10,1,85,3
Debug Player: No
Operating System: Windows XP
Video Capable: Yes
Audio Capable: Yes
Local File I\O Enabled: Yes
Please help.
Edit 1: Ran HijackThis: Nothing seems wrong.
Edit 2: Uninstalled and Reinstalled Flash. No Success. :(
Edit 3: Okay, the error message is completely unhelpful, after checks javascript is ON, and flash is UPDATED..
Edit 4: Now I'm in Firefox Beta 4.0b6 ... still getting the message.. :| ... It is working fine in both opera and chrome though. (off topic but the Firefox panorama/tab grouping is pretty neat)
Edit 5: Okay I give up.. can't figure it out, and now I need some sleep.
