I was just wondering...what are everyone's reasons for doing NaNoWriMo?

I know a lot of people just do it for the freedom of writing what you want and not worrying about anything else, but I was wondering if anyone had specific reasons?

I'm doing mine because I have a problem with finishing novels and screenplays that I start. I'll get, at most, halfway through and then I won't get back to it, so I'm doing NaNoWriMo to try and break myself from that habit because it kind of forces you to finish. Also, the idea I'm writing about has been in my head for a while and I feel like writing it down might help get it out of my head so I can focus on my stories that I really want to take seriously.

So...what are your reasons?
