Why can't the Thunder control/shoot the ball well?

Maybe one of you guys can enlighten me about this. The last two games, and now the Clippers game, the Thunder have been absolutely horrid with their shooting percentages. To me, it seems that they're trying too hard to make difficult passes/shots, and they get punished for it.

They had the same problems last year. What's the deal, here? It can't possibly be just being a young team, right? It's gotta be something that can be coached.
