So I just saw Inception...

...and I LOVED IT. I don't think it was nearly as mind-blowing as others have suggested, though it was very smart. I might not have been so overwhelmed by it because I've known for a long, long time that we are only on this earth a short while, that Shakespeare was right that

"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more".

I have known this because my father died when I was so small.

Obviously I am drawing a major conclusion from the end of the film, [spoiler](/s"not that Cobb was trapped in a dream but that we all are, this dream that we call life"). So I took it to be metaphorical, [spoiler](/s"that little spinning top"). Though obviously maybe I missed something important in the narrative. But I don't think so.

I'm sorry if I'm not making much sense, but it was so moving. Just because I didn't think it was incredibly complicated didn't mean I wasn't affected by it. I've written before that I cry at the drop of a hat. It's not that I'm depressed, but that I understand how brief and shallow this existence is. And I know from my own two children [spoiler](/s"that they are the most important things in the world to me").

Anyway, no reason to pay attention here. Just move along. That's all. Find your kick.
