Assignment Planner with Geektool

Hey r/apple,

I am trying to make an automator workflow that utilizes the "export as text" function from Assignment Planner to create a text file that I can display on my desktop with Geektool. But the "watch me do" function doesn't work consistently and I don't know how to make a script that will perform this action. Any suggestions?
