Is there some sort of a grammatical/language/part of speech word for this?

You know when someone starts saying something relatively generic and disconnected but then continues adding very specific details that are clearly applicable to something that has happened to them in the past...is there a term for this? I find when people do this hilarious for some reason...

For instance, the You Suck at Photoshop guy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_X5uR7VC4M) tries to begin by sounding very generic and disconnected, only trying to teach us Photoshop. But, then he clearly adds details that are made to sound mildly generic but are actually very specific to his situation.
