Reestablishing an old business contact?

2 years ago, I was an intern at an office near campus. However, being a naive student, I didn't really make much of it. Now it's more than a year and a half later and I'd like to get in contact with the bosses to see if they know of any jobs or can help me get a job.

I don't know if they'll remember me though. I didn't work too closely with them and didn't really make the opportunity to befriend them. It's possible the other people in the office will remember me, but it's been awhile and I'm sure they have had other interns.

What should I say/do? Just shoot an email to one of the bosses and explain what's up?

I feel like an idiot for not making more use of my internship, but it was my senior year and I was stressed out; I went all introvert just to stay sane.
