Hi, /r/Seattle! I'm looking for things for my wife to do!
So, my wife will be visiting your fair shore next week (Sunday through Saturday), and I'm looking for suggestions for awesome things for her to see, do, and eat. I've visited your (great) city a few times, but my idea of awesome (dive bars and food out of grimy trucks) and hers are different, so I figured this'd be the best place to come for ideas.
Stuff my wife loves:
- knitting and craftiness
- live music, especially of the rock/pop/funky variety
- outdoorsiness (hiking and biking, though she'll probably be bike-less)
- roller derby, and
- great food (see below).
On the restaurant front, she's a pretty adventurous eater, but her travelling companion is a meat-and-potatoes kind of girl whose favourite restaurants are IHOP and Red Lobster (no comment). Make of that what you will.
I appreciate all suggestions, and have a ready supply of orangereds and upvotes for all you kind strangers who assist me in this effort.
Thanks!
