Mac Office 2011 Crashes?

I have had my current MBP for a little over a year now. It has not once ever crashed or frozen or anything of that nature. I installed Office Mac 2011 Home and Student and it has crashed twice now. Once, when trying to load Word and second time while in Word editing a document. Anyone else having these issues? Maybe I will continue to use 2008 until some updates are rolled out.
