My favorite song on the album. I want the intro part on a 10 hour loop

I just want to spin on it for hours too.

I've been on a mission to love even the midwest emo bands I really didn't like on first listen. Hightide Hotel with their 2011 album "Nothing Was Missing, Except Me" was one of those bands. The production is so weird, and I think the instrumental tracks aren't even in time on some tracks. They're a Philly band that was WAY ahead of the curve though, which explains why it can be so rough around the edges.

Audio engineering grievances aside, this song is the album closer and it's really something special for me.

And I can imagine an ocean of water for miles hanging above my head.

And I can imagine the vultures gathering down at the foot of my bed.

I can imagine the sky a golden crimson red.

But I'd rather not imagine how this ends.

The lyric sheet is gorgeous, it reminds me of Fishing the Sky by the Appleseed Cast but with even more literary flare. These guys could really write.
