getting error 0x87d01106 when trying to install a .msp

I have a .msp i'm trying to push out and keep getting this error. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the detection method. I've installed ORCA and have tried using the patch code and target as the detection mode. But neither seem to be working. Any help would be great. I've been trying to figure this out for a few days now.

What install command-line exactly are you using in the deployment type?

What happens when you run this command manually?

For patches, you generally need to specify the fully-qualified name and path and not just the MSP file name. The easiest way to do this is to wrap your command-line in a batch file and use the %~dp0 batch file parameter: msiexec /p "%~dp0ArcGIS-1061-DT-EDL-Patch.msp". I'm not sure if that's the issue here or not though.

I would echo the sentiments of asking what happens when you run the command manually? Does it run?

The only other thing I would say is try using InstEd It! instead of Orca (there is a free version)

It makes it a lot easier for picking out errors in the installers.
