a blur before her
her eyes were icy blue
hiding a life untrue
unknowing a love like you
stumbling through life
everything a rife
never suspecting a wife
when in walked you
and the butterflies flew
a spark she never knew
you were unlike any other
knowing you would be an honour
but she didn't want to be a bother
her heart began to race
she had to know the face
that made it all fall in to place
your love was guiding
she was no longer hiding
everything about you coinciding
lost in the smell of your sweater
she found a forever
someone to share the endeavor
her life was a blur
before you found her.
This is the first poem I have ever written (other than when I learnt about poems in grade school) so all critiques are much appreciated!
