Am I the only one that thinks no one knows what's a limited series or an epilogue anymore?
I don't get it. They said that SU Future is a limited series...Right?
Then why the heck we are only getting these 10 episodes at first and then getting the rest next time? That doesn't make any sense especially when Rebecca announced a few days ago that a new Future episode was in production.
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't "Limited series" mean that it should have a fixed solid number of episodes that are ready for TV airing in one event?
And didn't they say that this series was an epilogue? Then why one of the crew said that we will know the finale when we see it? I mean...this series is an epilogue, the final episode of the series is clearly the finale of everything.
It doesn't make any sense. Are they seriously expecting us to pass years of hiatus just for the series to end or what?

“Limited Series” doesn’t mean everything’s ready to air in one event. They have everything planned out and it probably will end sometime in 2020.
Limited series means everything's ready and nothing's in production anymore and that it has a fixed episodes number. But that's clearly not the case since Rebecca announced she was working on some new episode for Future few days ago.
Why do you say that limited series means everything’s ready? All that really matters is the fixed episode number. If Steven Universe Future has, say, 26 episodes that’s what it has, even if episodes 1-10 air before the latter episodes are complete. Plus, Rebecca said she was working on the music, which can easily be one of the last things in the production of a show.
Wikipedia sez:
Nothing about it should not be in production already. No one announced the number of episodes. It can be 100, who knows? Ian said that the Future is like Shippuden and it was in air for 10 years.
I'd watch it for 10 years if I could.
Maybe she’s working on one of the latter episodes?
Incorrect. I could see how you could come to that conclusion but that's an unfortunate misunderstanding. A limited series simply means there's a complete story in a pre-determined number of episodes. Think of it (As Stan put it) as "Shippuden."
