THE HUNT FOR THE NIGHTINGALE

In earthy, cotton dresses

Adorned with spring's tender allure

Hiding in the crowds of green

Away from my dulling eyes

Where do i find her?

In knots of midnight

In the rays of sun

I will search

To finally hear her bells echo through my last silver days

And i will wait for April in my saddened winter coats

As i rip out the pages of my calendar

At last she graced me

And everything went still

Under the spotlight of the moon

Even the wind goes calm to gaze at the druid

The silvery velvet of her voice

A mockery of my despair
