Creepy 90s Swordfighting Game(Shareware)

Towers II: Plight of the Stargazer

Platform(s): PC, of the DOS/Win 95 era, played free-trial off a shareware disk

Genre: First Person Swordfighter/Horror(?) Think it was a medieval setting

Estimated year of release: 1990-1997(?)

Graphics/art style: 2.5D if I remember right. Characters & weapons were sprites, game took place indoors in pitch black darkness(like how old games used fog to reduce render distances)

Notable characters: I remember a bartender, I feel like this was the only friendly character.

Notable gameplay mechanics: Unknown

Other details: This was a game that terrified me when I was young to the point it was memorable and I want to see it again, I only ever played the first 10 minutes or so.. my memory tells me it had 'Tower' in the title but I'm not sure.

What I remember is that you load up into the first floor of a wood/stone tower, it's pitch black and there are bandits(?) in the dark who attack you. I remember if you wandered to the right there was a bar & bathrooms where you could find a mop to arm yourself. The oppressive darkness terrified me as a kid, you could only see maybe 5ft in front of yourself, and the enemies wandered the level so you never knew where they'd come from.
