A Little Perspective

I’ve seen a lot of people saying, “Why did Auburn rush the field?” Well, allow me to explain something. For 364 days a year (365 on leap years) we have to listen to people talk about how much better Alabama is. We have to listen to people downplay our success. We have to watch Alabama be gifted a walk to the playoffs year after year, and then be told that they’re so much better than us and we’ll never be them. All season every season the “experts” write off the Iron Bowl as a Bama victory up until kickoff. Then, the whole world counts us out again this season with them coming into our house, with a backup QB. Not to mention the fact that the last time we beat Alabama, they won the national title (or UCF did depending on how correct you are) so we were told then that victory meant nothing. Well, this time they aren’t going to win a damn thing other then 10 games before getting smashed in whatever bowl game they go to. So yeah, we got a little excited and rushed the field. So what? 48-45. Gus is now 3-4 against the greatest college football coach of all time, and all is right in the world for the next 364 days at least. War Damn Eagle!
