Hi, I want to upgrade my PC to be able to play the new Half-Life in all its glory and I need help. [EU]
Greetings friends,
My PC is 4 years old more less and it's decent enough, but it can't handle things as I wish it could. I can play most games in medium/high at 30/60 fps depending on the game, but it's asking for an upgrade.
The problem is that I'm a bit lost about what should I upgrade, since I don't know if I should change the motherboard.
My specs are the following:
Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i5 6600 @ 3.30GHz 29 °C
Skylake 14nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1063MHz (15-15-15-35)
Motherboard
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. H170 PRO GAMING (LGA1151) 25 °C
Graphics
XG2402 SERIESV (1920x1080@144Hz)
M220DXML (1920x1080@59Hz)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (MSI) 59 °C
Storage
931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1SB102 (SATA ) 27 °C
223GB KINGSTON SUV400S37240G (SATA-2 (SSD)) 27 °C
Optical Drives
No optical disk drives detected
Audio
Realtek High Definition Audio
How can I extend its lifespan without wasting too much money? I'd like to get more years out of it and be able to enjoy what's to come for VR. Can I just upgrade the CPU and GPU? Or should I change my motherboard?
Thank you very much for reading and looking foward to your replies!
