Best Linux distro for E490 ?

Hello everyone,

I just ordered my first Thinkpad, E490 with i5 and 8 gigs of ram(no dedicated GPU). It's coming in few days and in the mean time I'm thinking which Linux distribution would play best with it? I had Ubutnu 18 LTS on my previous laptop and it's been okay. But not all distros play well with all laptops.

I have read that for E490 you have to install couple of packages for battery life and trackpad acceleration. Are there any other dangers I have to watch out for?

I have tried couple of distributions on a VM and these are on my watchlist:

- Pop_os

- manjaro

- xubuntu

How do these cooperate with Thinkpad?

If you have some other advice or just want to flame me, feel free to i'm new to this community :))
