ETF Investing, wait for a discount or not?

What's up y'all.. Hope our thanksgiving dinners didn't involve political arguments ha!

Been trading for a few months now, playing it safe and all.. Threw $1k 4 months ago and saw around 10% return across many sectors, but now seeing the value of ETFs (VTI/SPY/VOO...), I'm more interested in them and just 'buy and forget'..

Q is, would you wait for a discount and a dip in the market, or would you just go for it since it don't matter in the long term?... What are your thoughts on this...?
