Easier combat mods for PC, or advice?

So I've been a mobile player for years, but I just coincidentally happened upon a PC in time for the new 1.4 update. I'm getting used to everything but combat; on mobile, it auto attacks as an option I've always used and it switches between tools (pickaxe to sword) automatically. Are there any mods that could help with this? I've been looking on Nexus all morning and can't find anything myself but I may be looking incorrectly.
