A game I played at school (around 1999/2000)

Genre: Probably educational, as it was played at school

Notable characters: The character you followed was a boy, I believe he had ginger spikey hair, and maybe glasses/goggles, but I can't say with certainty

Notable gameplay mechanics: Flat background and you control the character by moving left/right, similar to Mario

Other details: The background was a laboratory/factory setting

I know I've been ridiculously vague, but this is a game I played in primary school in the UK, probably in the year 2000 or something around then. It's such a foggy memory and unfortunately no one else I've asked from the school remembers it! Can anyone help out?
