Minecraft isn’t *nearly* as enjoyable as people say

I remember playing Minecraft a while ago and I actually somewhat enjoyed it when playing creative with my sister (I know that’s a weird way to start things as the title suggests). When I came back to it the only thing that was ‘nostalgic’ was the music. The creepers or the skeletons didn’t cross my mind in the slightest. The mobs have one of the most basic AI imaginable and essentials like food is a breeze to the point where you might as well go back to 1.8. Mojang has significantly lowered the requirements for a game that is sometimes called “survival”. I argue it doesn’t even deserve the title of the word. If you find a village with a bed and a herd of cows, hunger is no problem (food can’t even rot). I just came back to Minecraft because a friend of mine praised the living guts out of it as if it were religion, which is basically a lot of people in the community. Let me explain, before the revival of Minecraft, games that were seen as “too close” to it such as Terraria and ROBLOX (to an extent) were seen nothing more as a Chinese knockoff of Minecraft to its community members. Not only does the community make the game unenjoyable but makes me hardly respect the game itself. Although I am glad that people can enjoy the game they play.
