A good way to check your weed

Hey guys. Since there has been some issues lately in the cannabis industry relating to mold everyone should check their bud. Even in a legal state.

The most common mold on weed is aspergillus and it appears as white patches. It can be confused with trichomes but with close inspection can be spotted. It will look strandy and fluffy and grow over top of trichomes.

Another good way to check your bud is with a black light. Mold spores will glow visibly under a blacklight. Usually a blacklight is good to spot mold that's normally not visible to the naked eye.

If your weed is moldy then you should throw it out. Cutting off the mold will not help and the spores can survive anything short of a nuclear bomb, so burning it will not help. The spores from these molds if you have immune problems can cause very bad lung infections or even mold balls to grow in your lungs requiring surgery to remove.

Be safe out there guys and remember even if you got it from a dispensary check your bud, mold is a problem everywhere right now.
