Why didn't half the trees disappear when Thanos snapped his fingers

I mean, they were in a forest and all the trees were as they were when he snapped. Also, when Hulk snapped, what about existing people who were in the exact same spot as the disappeared people when they reappeared? Did those guys fuse together or something
