JCG Million Cup Grand Finals (Verdant Conflict)

The first JCG event since the Mini Expansion sees 4 classes represented. Many players stuck by archetypes that had proved successful over time - With all 8 finalists bringing Natura Haven. Crowd won the event with a pairing of Haven & Dragon.

---

Haven decks saw minor changes. Half the Finalists adopted Charaton, with Crowd including 2 copies in their list. Viridia Magna & Shiva remained in the majority of these lists, with cards such as Sister Falconer, Featherfolk Gardener & Iminia making way for these powerful late game effects. We're also seeing more players leaning towards 3 copies of Kel & Alchemical Confectioner.

---

Dawn & Tyrannosaur were quickly adopted by Dragon, both powerful tools synergising with Dragon's gameplan. 2 of the 3 players opted to include Aiela. Neptune & Genesis Dragon were not included today.

---

Forest was split between 3 archetypes; Natura, Roach & Amatz. Divine Smithing found it's way into both Amatz & Roach decks, with Roach becoming a sleek list full of low cost cards, cutting the likes of Miracle of Love, Angelic Smite & Ward of Unkilling for low cost followers offering cheap removal, or in some cases combing with Roach for early Storm. Natura Forest gained access to a potent finisher in Primal Giant.

---

Ambush was the Sword deck of choice. It was the only non Haven list not to include any new Mini expansion cards, but still proved effective for the Runner Up - beating both Natura Haven & Dragon along the way.

---

Over 2,000 competitors took part in the event, with 1 million Yen going to the Champion. Each Finalist qualified through topping a Single Elimination Group of up to 256 players. All matches took place after the mini expansion.
